A large comet is approaching the Earth at great speed, threatening to destroy all life on the third planet from the Sun. The only place capable of ensuring the safety of a small part of the inhabitants of the globe is a specially created bunker located on the territory of Greenland. Getting there from different parts of the world is not easy, but it is possible.

A middle-aged man named John Garrity, along with his wife Alison, as well as his young son Nathan, collecting only the most necessary things, go on a risky journey filled with dangers. The family hopes to find refuge on a large island. The main characters make their way to their destination through roads, cities and towns destroyed by parts of the space object, encountering people distraught from a global catastrophe who, in the face of a deadly threat, do not hesitate to show their worst qualities exclusively.
